Navajo Power is a Public Benefit Corporation that develops utility-scale clean energy projects on tribal lands, and maximizes the economic benefits for local communities.

Their Phase I mission is to cultivate an economic upgrade from coal to renewables for Navajo through developing gigawatts (GWs) of solar and storage projects as the imminent closure of local coal plants accelerates. In Phase II, they plan to expand their model with Navajo, and deploy a replication strategy with tribes in the Southwest and beyond.

Why We Partner

There is tremendous potential in companies like Navajo Power who are generating utility-scale clean energy, with tangible shared economic benefits. Najvo Power takes an indigenous-first leadership approach, provides economic development for tribal lands, fair and good jobs for indigenous people.

Navajo Power creates a new economic model for energy development, distributing the economic benefits of clean energy to the Navajo community and providing clean energy across the region.
