Pacific Institute

The Pacific Institute is a global water and climate nonprofit organization that combines science-based research and policy leadership with targeted solutions to influence local, national, and international efforts in developing sustainable water policies. Their mission is to create and advance solutions to the world’s most pressing water challenges.

Since 1987, they have worked with everyone from Fortune 500 companies to disenfranchised communities to the United Nations and played a leading role in analyzing and communicating the links among water management and use, energy, and climate mitigation and adaptation.

Why We Partner

The greatest challenges to forward progress in climate mitigation, adaptation, and resiliency are due to the inaction of governments and corporations. The Pacific Institute demonstrates to these entities the savings that can be made through proper water stewardship and also manages innovative projects to pilot a water-adaptive future.

Impact

We aim to convince historically inefficient actors to modify their practices to support best practices for water usage and water-rights management while improving their bottom-line and create real action to build greener and more sustainable cities.
