Sabore’s Well was founded in January 2009. The organization has drilled boreholes that have helped the Maasai community by bringing water collection points closer to the villages. It has installed large water storage tanks to allow for constant and immediate access to safe clean drinking water.

The Maasai community has benefited greatly, especially the women who no longer have to walk long distances to the river to collect contaminated water. The construction of the wells has also reduced water borne diseases and thereby reduced hospital visits and other medical costs for the local villagers.

Why We Partner

While this was a smaller grant, every dollar went directly to helping this community dig new and deeper drought resistant wells. The grant directly provided secure water resources.

Impact

Drilling boreholes enables the Maasai community in the project area to maintain safe and secure water sources.
